Andy Porter

Hello, my name is Andy Porter, and I am happily married with three children, two boys and one girl. I also have 13 wonderful grandchildren. I am local to the North Georgia area and graduated from Ringgold High School and went on to attend Dalton State College. I have 35 years of experience in extrusion, plastics, carpet, and pro-sport fields. I also have 3 years under my belt working for International Automotive Components for Corvette and Nissan. I love to fish, hunt, and collect Garden trains. I also enjoy football and baseball. I cherish spending time with all my family and grandchildren, and I’m also incredibly involved at my church.

 

I have been working for Family Resource Agency of North Georgia as their Male Involvement Specialist for several years now.  I have a true passion for children and ensuring that male caregivers/role models are involved in the education and outcomes of their child’s lives. Throughout the year, I visit each classroom and do crafts with the children, read stories, and host Male Involvement meetings monthly. Keep a lookout for the signup sheets to attend the Male Involvement meetings for your child’s center. I look forward to meeting your family this school year.
